Heidi is an experienced Registered Dental Hygienist that has expanded her practice to include services in Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy.
Heidi has held a professional license as a Registered Dental Hygienist since the completion of her studies from Niagara College in 2003. Prior to her studies in Dental hygiene, Heidi graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor of Science degree and most recently (2021) has completed training in Foundations in Orofacial Myology.
Heidi has always had an interest in health care and wellness and believes that we rise by lifting others. Heidi’s studies, personal and work experience have brought to light the importance of proper muscle functions and airway centric health. Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy is about recognizing and treating orofacial myofunctional disorders that often stem from mouth breathing, low tongue posture, open mouth posture and a tongue thrust swallowing pattern.
In her spare time Heidi’s number one love is spending time with her family and friends. Heidi is the neighbourhood pet sitter, a continuous self learner and loves reading, zumba, soccer, walking/hiking and anything in nature!
